Our client in New Mexico is actively seeking a General Surgeon Physician for a 90-day assignment commencing Apr 30, 2026. This role involves comprehensive general and laparoscopic surgical procedures, including trauma, ventilation management, and central line insertions. Shift hours are yet to be finalized, with a potential for 7 AM to 7 AM shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties- Perform general surgery procedures, including adult and trauma cases.
- Conduct laparoscopic surgery, such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy.
- Manage patient ventilation.
- Perform chest tube insertion.
- Execute central line insertion.
- Opportunity to utilize skills in pediatric and neonate procedures.
- Opportunity to utilize skills in head/neck surgery.
- Opportunity to utilize skills in GI endoscopy (Upper, Lower).
- Board certification in General Surgery is required.
- EMR system used:
Medhost. - The facility is a trauma center.
- Expected patient volume: 7-10 patients per shift.
