Job Description

To fulfill our mission by coordinating all aspects of the Outdoor Education program, including building out STEM‑related curriculum, overseeing the recruitment of schools to participate, managing the guest experience, budget, and expanding the program’s geographical reach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate a Christ‑like attitude in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather information and determine needs of all groups to create exceptional Outdoor Education experiences focused on STEM topics.
  • Supervise communication with group leaders through email, tours, phone calls, and in‑person meetings.
  • Provide staff development through training, enrichment, evaluation, and feedback.
  • Oversee all administrative tasks for Outdoor Education groups, including pre‑trip booking, post‑group debriefing, surveys, billing, and contract management.
  • Manage housing and resource reservations for all events in Salesforce.
  • Facilitate tours for prospective OE guests.
  • Recruit and advertise positions in the department in collaboration with the Administration Dept.
  • Build relationships with local and regional science and education leaders to promote the OE program.
  • Partner with marketing and sales staff to develop and execute a growth plan to meet G2 goals.
  • Teach the OE curriculum to school groups of various ages while demonstrating STEM knowledge.
  • Manage quality control during the Outdoor Education season (housekeeping, retail, activities, etc.) to ensure guest retention and maximize the guest experience.
  • Build authentic relationships with group sponsors, leaders, teachers, future guests, and staff.
  • Create and maintain all group information in Salesforce, including opportunities, accounts, and contacts.
  • Develop systems and processes that facilitate wonderful guest experiences.
  • Manage the program budget to meet goals while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Communicate internal needs to kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, retail, activities, grounds, and full‑time staff as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to scripture.
  • Passion for the outdoors and outdoor education.
  • Interest and expertise in STEM.
  • Strong sense of hospitality and customer service.
  • Comfortable with phone calls, emails, guest interaction, and public speaking.
  • College degree or higher preferred.
  • Proficiency with technological systems at camp, spreadsheets, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work long hours and handle up to 40 events simultaneously.
  • Ability to confront, encourage, and inspire staff toward excellence in a Christ‑centered way.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience with event planning or equivalent highly desired.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing guest needs.
  • Flexibility with time‑off and new policies.
  • Problem‑solving skills and the ability to act with speed and kindness.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly pay with overtime.
  • On‑site housing with utilities and appliances included.
