School Psychologist - Full-Time
Location: Carlsbad, NM

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Psychologists for full-time roles with school districts in Carlsbad, New Mexico. We specialize in providing staffing solutions to support the diverse needs of students in educational settings.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. This may include:
- Holding a valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in New Mexico.
- Possessing a master's or specialist degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Demonstrating knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education, assessment, and intervention.
- Having experience conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Passing a background check and any additional screenings required by the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho educational evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and areas of need in cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains.
- Interpret assessment results and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate educational plans and interventions for students with disabilities.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns, promote positive coping skills, and support academic success.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies for classroom management, behavior intervention, and academic support.
- Participate in the special education eligibility process, including attending IEP meetings and providing input on students' educational needs and programming.
- Collaborate with community agencies and resources to coordinate services and support for students and families.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment data, counseling sessions, and progress monitoring according to district and state guidelines.
