Field Service Apprentice - Fixed Term
Role:
Fixed term approximately 6 months (1,200 hours) from June 15, 2026 through December 15, 2026.
Location:
Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Report to Field Service Regional Manager.
- Become a primary driver for maintaining Bloom Energy servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform fuel cell system maintenance, site upkeep, safety protocols, and issue resolution.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of diverse electrical and mechanical systems to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Exposure to 3‑phase systems, UPS, electrical and mechanical maintenance, power electronics, Automatic Transfer Switch Systems, and microprocessor‑based control platforms.
- Experience with test and measurement equipment, electrical codes, and personnel safety products and procedures preferred.
- Basic understanding of operational monitoring systems.
- Strong safety awareness and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment, and act with integrity and professionalism.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Follow procedures and execute sequenced work instructions from written or verbal communication.
- Ability to facilitate shift work and travel for training.
- Ability to lift 45–50 lbs.
- Work at heights.
- Work in outdoor weather conditions.
