Service Technician - Utility Scale Solar - Road Warriors

Job Description:

Service Technician I – Utility Scale Solar – Road Warriors Needed! The Service Technician I works closely with the Director of Field Operations, Commissioning & Warranty Manager, and other Service Technicians to ensure the customer’s needs are satisfied appropriately and timely. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 90% of an annual calendar year and learn the intricacies of Array’s tracker portfolio, work in a team environment, and aid in retrofits, commissioning, and repowering efforts.

• Support field efforts, including retrofits, repowering, commissioning, and service repairs.
• Ensure tools and equipment used in field operations are functioning properly.
• Manage Concur expense reporting system.
• Submit Field Service Reports on daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Willingness for extensive, frequent travel – up to 90%
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Basic math skills
• Entry-level knowledge of mechanical systems
• Entry-level knowledge of electrical systems
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong customer-facing presence
• Dexterity to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures

• Utility-scale solar experience
• Utility-scale construction knowledge
• Entry-level Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Entry-level Salesforce experience
• Experience with mechanical and electrical tools
• OSHA 10 or higher – Preferred
• NFPA 70E – Preferred

• Lifting: 50 lbs
• Standing: 75%
• Computer: 25%
