Senior​/Principal Tactical Planner - Minor Modifications Team, Onsite

• Work as a key contributor to the Minor Modifications team. This team provides project‑like work to all areas of the lab. Knowledge of facilities, maintenance and project execution is crucial in this role.
• Plan, coordinate and schedule work for the Minor Modifications team.
• Provide estimates and track costs on project‑like work.
• Order materials and supplies.
• Strong customer service is needed for this position.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

$74,700 - $144,400

* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

• Bachelor's degree in facilities or construction or in relevant discipline, plus five (5) or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L‑level security clearance.

• A strong commitment to safety and critical thinking.
• Ability to work in a high‑functioning environment coordinating the work of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in construction and maintenance industry to include project execution.
• Experience with common Facilities IT applications.
• Experience with work planning and control.
• Deep understanding of Facilities processes and procedures.

Department 4743, Structural Services, provides preventive and corrective maintenance on all administrative locks, painting, building structural systems and equipment, pedestrian pathways, fences, gates, parking lots, roadways—both improved (asphalt and concrete) and unimproved, water deliveries to water storage tanks, cranes and hoists, and landscape areas. The department also provides excavation and emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander.
