Portfolio Manager

• Assist Business Banking and Practice Finance officers with portfolio management activities for generally loans over $500,000 reviewed, decisioned, and managed by the Business Banking Loan Center
• Partner with and support relationship managers and client managers
• Perform credit underwriting for renewals, modifications, term changes, credit reviews, and reaffirmations
• Analyze business and personal financial statements and perform financial spreading with the underwriting team
• Present solutions for credit structure, covenants, financial reporting requirements, and other credit conditions to the Underwriter
• Continuously monitor the portfolio, including loan exceptions, BBC, covenants, past dues, and other portfolio activities
• Recognize and manage recurring early warning signs according to established protocols
• Provide specialized risk guidance and advice on watch list credits across a multi-state geographical footprint
• Secure financial information and test covenant requirements
• Provide timely client follow-up and ensure loan servicing actions, including collections, demand letters, lawsuits, and liquidations, are properly administered
• Perform site visits when needed
• Address complaints, resolve documentation exceptions, and resolve covenant requirement violations
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related area with at least 6 hours of accounting
• At least 1 year of Business Loan experience for loans up to $5MM
• At least 1 year of credit analysis experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
• Credit decision-making skills and ability
• Financial analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems by interpreting data and results
• Excellent writing skills for creating credit memos
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate with sales force and credit managers
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Excel and Word for creating tables and worksheets for credit memos
• Previous Business Loan collections experience is a bonus
• 2 years of Business Loan credit underwriting is a bonus
• Knowledge of Capital Stream and FIS/BIS is a bonus
• Strategic thinking and ability to envision the future state of the portfolio is a bonus

Demonstrates expertise in credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and portfolio management, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. Proficient in credit decision-making and risk assessment within the business loan sector.
