The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Integrated Prevention Specialist (GS-0101-11) to work at the 27 Special Operations Wing (SOW), Office of the Installation Commander - Installation Integrated Resilience Office (IRO), Cannon Air Force Base (AFB), Clovis, New Mexico.
Salary Range: $74,678 – $97,087 per year based on experience.
Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Secret” Security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required credentials for the position.
- Incumbent must meet screening/suitability criteria listed in Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) guidance.
- Degree:
At least a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR - Combination:
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR - Experience:
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- Prevention Policy & Principles:
Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to the prevention of violence, promotion of help-seeking, and resilience. - Delivery Systems:
Thorough knowledge of a wide range of delivery systems relating to violence prevention and the multiple uses of such systems. - Curriculum & Instruction:
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training outcomes. - Office Automation:
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents, such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
- Knowledge and experience within primary prevention.
- Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
