American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification for a day-shift assignment.

• Outpatient physical therapy setting within the Phys Med Therapy Physical department
• Day shift, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment length
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Dress code consists of khaki pants and a white polo shirt

• Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Current New Mexico PT license required if applicable
• Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by PTs as outlined by the state's Physical Therapy Examiners board

• Responsibilities include performing comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients
• Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, rehab technicians, and volunteers
• Assists with coordinating and supervising PT and PTA student programs
• Participates in patient/family conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings
• Manages discharge planning and provides patient/family education
• Must complete a pre-employment health screening and an annual screening thereafter
• Returning CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a new travel assignment
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius may be considered
