Overview
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with Skill Bridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
Eligibilityand Requirements
- Must be currently serving on active duty and eligible to participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
- Associate’s degree required; typically 2 or more years of relevant experience. A higher‑level degree may substitute for experience.
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
- Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
- Experience using troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
- Must be able to frequently travel outside the continental U.S., typically for extended periods of time.
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- Experience with FCC or FCC GROL.
- Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA, and/or A+ certifications.
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pilot static equipment gauges.
- Background in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military.
