Mobility Technician

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Mobility Technician to support a major national laboratory.
The successful candidate shall set up, repair, and maintain mobile equipment and software used by mobile authorized users (e.g., smartphones, tablets, mobile Wi‑Fi adapters) and shall perform related services. These services include delivering technical and administrative support in conjunction with fulfilling the requirements for security, connectivity, and export‑control compliance.
Responsibilities- Assist in the daily operation of Intune and Microsoft Authenticator to maintain security on mobile devices.
- Pull web‑based reports from ICK, Verizon, and Intune to report on the number of active and suspended devices on site that are currently in production.
- Assist in deploying and provisioning security and device management policies to all mobile devices for approved users.
- Assist end users via telephone, e‑mail, or by appointment with questions, problems and requests regarding mobile devices.
- Train end‑users on mobile device technology.
- Provide quarterly training to internal groups, as well as end user presentations.
- Remain current on industry and technology foundations to provide new, updated information to customers and the IT Support Team, which may include personnel supporting Mobile Devices, Technical Development, the Help Desk, and Cyber Security.
- Participate in pilot programs and be involved in testing and reporting (using Excel, Remedy, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Other duties as necessary.
- HS Diploma and a minimum one year of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties.
- Related experience may be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must have a working knowledge of PC operations which include hardware, network settings, operating system, and MS Office applications.
- Six months of customer help desk experience.
- Intermediate to expert virtual desk expertise (related to equipment connectivity for computing customer).
- Ability to type 35 words per minute.
- Experience in the current customer environment.
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline.
- Experience with Service Now.
- Experience with KCS methodology.
- Ability to type 50 or more words per minute.
Telecommuting, or hybrid work, will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis at the discretion of the service manager.
