OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced (L3) CCTV / Video Surveillance Engineer to support the installation, configuration, and commissioning of a standalone video surveillance system for one of our customer locations. The engineer will be responsible for delivering a fully functional system in line with defined technical and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Site Survey & Planning- Participate in the scheduled site survey on 9 April 2026 (1300 MDT)
- Assess camera placement, coverage areas, and infrastructure requirements
- Identify cable routing paths, conduit requirements, and power availability
- Validate rack space and workstation placement
- Report any site constraints or risks
- Install and mount various camera types (dome, fisheye, multi-head)
- Install and configure Network Video Recorder (NVR) and storage systems
- Deploy workstation, monitors, PoE switches, UPS, and rack equipment
- Perform structured cabling (Cat6), termination, and labeling
- Install conduits, junction boxes, and mounting hardware
- Configure NVR for recording, storage retention, and user access
- Configure cameras (resolution, FPS, field of view, motion detection)
- Implement a closed/local network setup (no external connectivity)
- Configure time synchronization and recording schedules
- Create and manage user roles and permissions
- Ensure system operates as a standalone solution
- Disable/avoid Wi‑Fi, cloud access, and remote connectivity
- Ensure all configurations meet Section 889 compliance requirements
- Follow all site security, access, and safety protocols
- Perform end‑to‑end system testing
- Validate camera coverage ensuring no blind spots
- Test recording, playback, and storage functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues
- Prepare as‑built documentation and system configuration details
- Support system handover and basic operational guidance
- L3 level experience in CCTV / Video Surveillance systems (IP‑based systems preferred)
- Strong expertise in NVRs, IP cameras, and video management systems (VMS)
- Advanced troubleshooting and system integration capabilities
- Hands‑on experience with structured cabling (Cat6), termination, and testing
- Strong knowledge of PoE switches, UPS systems, and rack installations
- Solid networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, switching)
- Experience with enterprise‑grade OEMs (Axis, Hanwha, Bosch, Avigilon)
- Prior experience working in secure or government environments
- Knowledge of compliance requirements such as Section 889
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently on‑site
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- On‑site work at customer location
- Work in controlled/secure environments with restricted access
- Adherence to safety and security protocols is mandatory
- Fully installed and configured video surveillance system
- Tested and validated system performance
- Complete documentation and handover support
