Responsible for converting all optical media recorded at the Holloman High Speed Test Trackinto a single interactive data product.
Responsibilities include system administration functions to equipment used to collect, convert, edit, and archive high speed digital optical data.
This includes knowledge of Windows server software, analog conversion techniques, non-linear editing software, compression techniques, and software administration to field equipment used to collect highspeed optical data.
The applicant willbe responsible for technical support of user and client software, user accountadministration, and group policy maintenance. May require support outside normal business hours. Will perform other duties as assigned.
Position will require the candidate to develop and maintain database software used torecord and track equipment and material usage along with data assessment of optical data recorded by department optical technicians.
The database is used to perform department billing information, mission support reporting, and equipment usage background information.
Mayserve as the departmental Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO).Develop and document site-specific policies and procedures required to operate within classified and unclassified applications.
Writes and maintains system security authorization agreements and standard operating procedures required for optical media collection and control.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology or five years relevant experience.
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, IPX) on Local Area Networks andacross Wide Area Networks and related software comprising of various office suites, databases, complex distributed test applications, techniques used to digitize film media, knowledge of non-linear editing systems, and various server WEB based applications.
Demonstrates experience with the application of IT systems and procedures including determination of hardware/software requirements,development of input/output data processes/techniques, and implementation ofdata verification/validation procedures.
Must be able to obtain CompTIA Security + Certification in addition to applicable commercial certification six months from appointment as IASO.Candidate must be eligible for a SECRET security clearance immediately upon employment.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsand willing to work in field environment.
A valid state driver’s license is required, and employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a security investigation. The selected candidate must also meet all eligibility requirements to work at the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) and HAFB installation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Atleast two years of computer or electronic maintenance background.
Experience with installation, maintaining,troubleshooting and updating complex software and operating systems.
Networks Specialist certificate, ISCOCertified Network Associate, Microsoft role based or scenario-based credentials, or Security+ Certified professional certification.
