15, 2026. The Manager, Project Accounting leads the project accounting team, oversees financial activities for projects, and collaborates with Creative, Studio, and Finance teams to budget, forecast, and monitor project costs in Workday.
- Lead the project accounting team and manage project budget forecasting and cash flows.
- Coordinate with FP&A to capture capital expenses, capital labor, and all project‑related operating expenses accurately in reporting systems.
- Review forecasts, identify spending risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Work with project/program managers, estimators, and purchasing to ensure budgeting, scheduling, and coordination processes run smoothly.
- Monitor project progress to meet budgetary and deadline goals and develop recurring status reports for stakeholders.
- Oversee AD & P and other exhibition development departments, creating expense trackers and resource support.
- Create and maintain reports covering all aspects of project development and completion.
- Manage project budget estimates for sustainment projects and estimate responsibilities for conceptual projects in the Blue Sky Phase.
- Build a database of cost comparisons with the lead estimator for various exhibition and non‑exhibition facilities.
- Review weekly and monthly project cost reports for accuracy and analytical trends.
- Review project labor tracking reports and manage resource plans for all responsible projects, providing resourcing suggestions.
- 5+ years’ experience in construction/theme‑park/retail/hotel or themed‑attraction projects, including tenants improvements and exhibit estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related business/engineering field (required);
Master’s in Construction Management or Business Administration preferred. - CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Workday and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint; familiarity with cost‑management software a plus.
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to present cost estimates to upper management and influence major decisions with diplomacy.
- Skilled in analyzing large data sets, reviewing invoices, contract payment applications, and ensuring contract compliance (schedule of values, lien waivers, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Experience with project‑management software for scheduling, forecasting, and project oversight.
The role is primarily office or home‑office with frequent virtual meetings. Periodic on‑site walkthroughs may involve moderate noise and uneven surfaces; PPE such as closed‑toe footwear, safety glasses, and high‑visibility vest may be required. Standard office duties include prolonged sitting, keyboard/mouse use, and monitoring multiple monitors. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
Work ScheduleFull‑time, Monday through Friday, 9a.m.–5p.m. or 10a.m.–6p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
