Are you looking for a small‑town lifestyle just 20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque? Do you have experience or want to work in a true, mixed animal practice? We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Village Veterinary Hospital in Bosque Farms, New Mexico.
Salary & Schedule- Salary: $19 - $23 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Schedule: Hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Thursday and Saturday 8:30 am – 12 pm (half days). Closed on Sunday and major holidays.

Village Veterinary Hospital is a long‑standing mixed animal hospital with deep ties to the community. Located in Bosque Farms, New Mexico, our clinic treats small animals (60%) and large animals (40%) as well as emergencies. We offer full‑service veterinary medical treatment, ranging from preventive medicine, dental cleanings, in‑house laboratory, pharmacy, digital x‑rays, digital ultrasound, house calls, and emergency surgical care.

Who You Are- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in New Mexico, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.
- 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
- Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
- Passion for working with large and small animals, and their owners.
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species.
- Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting.
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
- Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dental procedure experience—scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing.
- Skilled in IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints.
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, pre‑operatory and post‑operative care.
- Laboratory skills including cytology set‑up and interpretation.
- Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound‑guided cystocentesis.
- And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law.
