Quality Assurance Auditor – Food Manufacturing
LHH Recruiting is assisting our client in Rio Rancho, NM with hiring a contract Quality Assurance Auditor. This role will play a critical role in ensuring that all food safety protocols, regulations, and quality standards are strictly followed. You will work closely with various departments to audit and assess processes, procedures, and compliance measures, with a focus on preparing the company for Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, with over 3 years of experience in auditing and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes, quality control procedures, and food safety measures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Production teams to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead the preparation for and execution of SQF certification audits, ensuring that all documentation and processes meet regulatory and certification standards.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other relevant food safety regulations.
- Develop, review, and update food safety programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other related documents.
- Train and educate staff on food safety protocols, SQF requirements, and best practices in quality assurance.
- Conduct root cause analyses of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in food safety.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance auditing within the food manufacturing industry. - SQF Certification Preparation
:
Proven experience in preparing for and achieving SQF certification. - Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field is preferred. - In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA), HACCP principles, and GFSI standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct detailed audits and assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and guide cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective corrective actions.
- Attention to detail and high level of organization.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
