Structured Cabling Installer - VCN

Summary

Mortenson is currently seeking an Installer that will be responsible for safely assisting Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems, preparing work areas, and cleaning of work spaces.

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools.
• Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.).
• Lift, position, and fasten objects.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools to be used by electrical trades.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
• Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and established procedures.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
• May lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs independently; for tasks over 50 lbs, assistance from another team member or equipment is required.
• Repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements may be involved.

• Relevant experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency with power and hand tools, and equipment such as vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Willingness to follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and handle materials that may weigh up to 200 lbs.
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, and professional customer service skills.
• Detail oriented with active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback.
