Position: Facilities Engineer I (Santa Fe)
Position Description
Facilities Engineer I ensures the functionality, safety, and efficiency of building systems and infrastructure while managing maintenance, upgrades, and compliance with regulations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our resort’s upkeep and engineering functions, ensuring a flawless experience for our guests. Under general supervision, you will apply your expertise in cutting‑edge maintenance practices, techniques, and technologies to keep our facilities in top shape while also delivering warm and positive interactions with guests.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and respond to emergency service calls, including but not limited to:- Lighting, HVAC, and sound control systems
- Plumbing fixtures, ice makers, toilets, and dishwashers
- Electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, exhaust fans, ceiling fans, water heaters, and other appliances
- Windows, doors, and related hardware; patch drywall; mount towel holders
- HVAC systems and equipment
Maintain buildings and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition in accordance with health, fire, and regulatory requirements.Report unusual conditions or hazards that may endanger safety or mechanical operation to supervisory personnel.Maintain hand and power tools in good working condition.Service kitchen and emergency equipment; install and maintain fire extinguishers and service schedules.Perform seasonal snow and ice removal using hand or motorized tools.Maintain first‑aid kits across the resort.Assist with other departmental duties such as landscaping tasks as assigned.Qualifications
General knowledge of tools and methods used in building maintenance; resort or hotel experience a plus.Ability to use hand tools and equipment, measure distances, calculate quantities, and read basic blueprints.Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check; capable of operating light to heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment.High school diploma or equivalent.Computer proficiency for data entry, work order preparation, and report filing.Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.Effective oral and written communication; ability to give and receive instructions.Reliable transportation; punctuality is critical.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays as required.Physical ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, lift and move up to 100 pounds, and perform tasks for eight or more hours per day.Manual dexterity and clear auditory and visual skills to follow procedures.Equal Opportunity and Accommodations
