We are currently hiring an Electronics Technician I (ET I) for the flat ranges at our site at Melrose Air Force Range near Clovis, NM.
Responsibilities- Perform systems maintenance and operations of range systems and facilities.
- Replace components and wire circuits.
- Repair simple electronic equipment.
- Conduct test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Will climb ladders and work in elevated areas and confined spaces.
- Will work on high-voltage and radio frequency circuits.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Job demands require physical dexterity and flexibility.
- Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel, and climb.
- Overtime may be required to support operations.
- Associate’s degree in electronics or a certificate from an accredited technical school, or equivalent military technical training.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an electronics technician position, preferably with DoD range systems.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Basic proficiency with Windows-based PCs and capability to document maintenance actions.
- Experience with MST‑T1A / MUTES, MST‑T1(V) / Mini-MUTES, or Visual/IR targets is a plus.
- Experience with ground radar, satellite tracking/radio, antenna positioning systems, and high‑power transmitters using TWTs or magnetrons is a plus.
- Current driver’s license required and ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy while operating work vehicles.
- U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to the start date.
