Join our dedicated team as a Transportation Driver, providing safe and dependable transport for students to and from the Life Wise site. We seek responsible and punctual individuals with a clean driving record. If this sounds like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply via our program's webpage.

• A mature personal Christian faith aligned with the 'What We Believe' section of the Life Wise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation and commitment to a local church whose doctrine is consistent with the Life Wise Academy Statement of Faith
• Regular driver's license (a copy may be kept on file by the Life Wise program)
  • Must have been continuously licensed for the past three years
• Appropriate special licenses
  • For vehicles seating more than 15 passengers:
    Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger vehicle endorsement (P)
  • For 15 passenger vans: no special license required
• Age requirement: 21-80 years
  • Drivers over 75 must submit additional documentation:
    • Van Drivers over 75:
      Submit an annual Physician's Statement
    • CDL Licensed Drivers over 75:
      Submit a copy of their CDL license and (P) Passenger Endorsement annually
• Clear driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years. If there are any incidents, please consult your Program Coach for eligibility.
• Must pass a background check conducted by Life Wise Academy
• Drivers with known medical conditions require a yearly Physician's Statement
• Complete drug and/or alcohol testing as mandated, including pre-employment, annual random testing, and post-accident testing.

• Safely transport children and Life Wise volunteers to and from the Life Wise site
• Adhere to all traffic laws
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the vehicle
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle
• Refuel the vehicle as necessary
• Create a safe environment for children
  • Enforce safety rules for students
  • Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Exhibit a calm and caring demeanor
  • Monitor student behavior and provide assistance when necessary
• Participate in the Life Wise classroom if interested and agreed upon with the Director
