Industry‑LeadingPay and Mileage
Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles, allowing drivers to earn 3–5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short‑route miles. Practical miles roll in faster now that we have recently raised our governed truck speed to 68
MPH on the cruise and 65
MPH on the pedal. The most productive 50 percent of our OTR drivers average more than $101,176 annually (over $1,945 weekly; $.66 to $.69 CPM). The top 50 percent of our Hunt Transportation drivers average $93,347 annually ($1,795 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.65 to $0.68 per mile.
