JOB OBJECTIVEThe Civil Craftsman/Workers are responsible for constructing, repairing and maintaining various civil structures such as buildings, and other infrastructure facilities. The role involves working with a range of materials such as concrete, steel, wood, and other construction materials. The Civil Craftsman must have knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS Experience- Must have2+ years working as a carpenter on an industrial construction project
- Must be able to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently to perform duties
- Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and formconstruction
- Must be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment and materials to specification
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work a full work schedule and anyadditionalovertime with little to nonotification
- Must be willing toassistother crafts and performadditionaljob duties while not performing primary craftduties
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Civil Carpenter Journeyman will construct, dismantle, and repair wooden and metal objects and/or concrete forms.
- Read blueprints and specifications todeterminethe scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Identifyall toolsrequiredfor tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautionsrequiredtoeliminatethose risks.
- Measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials torequiredspecifications.
- Construct, re-enforce, and dismantle pre-constructed concrete forms.
- Build and construct wooden forms.
- Work on miscellaneous construction projects such as but not limited to building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures.
- Must be willing toassistother crafts and performadditionaljob duties while not performing primary craft duties.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting,sitting and lifting.
- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, andpull: objects, materials,control sand tools.
- May berequiredto pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally workoff ofplatforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limitedto:hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
