Job Summary
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to work at a customer location and join a safety‑conscious team. This role involves overseeing two or more crews, planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating daily operations of the service line crew. Responsibilities include ensuring proper equipment operation, driving operational efficiencies at the work site, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering strong customer relationships.

- Instructs, provides feedback, and directs crew performance to meet client requirements and company policies.
- Enforces company employee policies and may remove employees from the job when required.
- Schedules jobs and crews.
- Acts as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested.
- Reads work orders and ensures all required equipment is available and operational prior to starting a job.
- Inspects equipment and general work area prior to starting any job, correcting deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity, or harm to equipment or pose client‑requirements inconsistencies.
- Notifies clients of job status and client requirements as required.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required.
- Completes all appropriate paperwork including service receipts and submits to designated management.
- Trains technicians and operators on the job in equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork.
- Operates all necessary equipment in the service line (chemical, hydro‑blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with operation training and safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
- Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in the service line.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Mechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company or personal vehicle on company business.
- CDL, forklift, and backhoe certified (as needed). Job duties may require these certifications.
- Experience with Win Web (HPC Software).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) with Microsoft Access as a plus.
- Ability to comprehend the English language, written and verbal.
- Experience calculating load weights for manifest completion.
- Issuing manifests accurately per waste stream, transporter, TSDF, and PO.
- Maintaining filing systems for issued and returned manifests.
- Assisting HPC drivers with Win Web ticket entries as necessary.
- Schedule pit loads at TSDFs and assist in roll‑off logistics coordination.
- Conduct weekly inspections of equipment and work areas.
- Ongoing accreditation: OSHA certification may be required; RCRA certificates;
Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be required. - Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
