- Must have 3+ years of industry experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass drug and background check.
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Able to lift to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair:
Elevators (freight/personnel), Overhead cranes, Hoists, and other overhead lifting systems. - Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, and manufacturer specifications.
- Develop and execute customer service and inspection programs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues using technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in servicing personnel and freight elevators.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with overhead cranes and hoists.
- Strong understanding of three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
- Skilled in: VFD retrofits, Radio remote installations, Motor and gear replacements, Hydraulic‑to‑electric brake conversions, Bar‑to‑festoon conversions.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with solid state and magnetic motor control (AC/DC).
- Experience adjusting door mechanisms and safety controls.
- Knowledge of mechanical gearing systems.
- Installation of overhead lifting systems, including: hoists, cranes, electrification systems, ASCE rail, and elevator structures.
- Strong problem-solving and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and open to learning new methods and technologies.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- PLC and motor repair experience is a plus.
- Machining and welding skills are a plus.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Work at heights, on ladders or scaffolding, using appropriate fall protection.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind).
