About the Role

This position focuses on procuring MRO supplies and operational materials to support production and maintenance schedules. You will manage sourcing, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency and material availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, order, and replenish MRO and operational supplies to meet production and maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels, issue purchase orders, and follow up proactively with vendors.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track usage history, and assist with physical inventories and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate outsourced maintenance services and secondary supplier operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication and performance tracking.
  • Negotiate terms to achieve best value in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, or service issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements.
  • Track deliveries, address variances, and resolve discrepancies with vendors, receiving, and accounting.
  • Communicate issues affecting material availability, cost, quality, or schedule to management timely.
  • Maintain accurate data in procurement systems and support the broader purchasing team as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in MRO purchasing or related procurement roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to perform purchasing analysis and make cost-effective decisions.
  • Solid understanding of purchasing principles, including pricing, freight, quality, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, high work ethic, and accountability.
