About Alianza Coachella ValleyAlianza Coachella Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working in the communities surrounding the Salton Sea since 2010. Formerly known as Building Healthy Communities Coachella Valley, Alianza was formed to address deep and persistent inequities in the Eastern Coachella Valley and the broader Salton Sea region.
Our mission is to transform the socioeconomic conditions of the Eastern Coachella Valley and Salton Sea region so that people in all communities have opportunities to prosper.
We exist because too many families in the Salton Sea region face systemic barriers tied to poverty, environmental injustice, under-resourced schools, and limited infrastructure. These challenges are interconnected. Our work recognizes that public health, environmental conditions, educational opportunity, and economic mobility are inseparable and must be addressed together.
Alianza serves as the central convening and support organization - a backbone organization - for a collaborative partnership of community-based organizations, public agencies, advocates, researchers, and residents across the Coachella Valley and Imperial Valley. We work to ensure that the communities most impacted by inequity are at the center of decision-making, policy development, and investment.
The OpportunityAlianza is seeking a strategic, experienced, and mission-driven Director of Finance & Accounting to serve as a senior leader and key advisor to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
This role goes beyond managing financial operations. You will shape long‑term sustainability, ensure financial integrity, and strengthen systems that allow our programs to grow and thrive. If you are a finance leader who values operational excellence and strategic impact within a mission‑driven organization, this role offers meaningful influence.
