Coalinga, California | Multiple Shifts Available | 6-Month Contract | Up to 1-Year Extensions

We are actively hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs/LPNs) for psychiatric and correctional healthcare settings across California. With nearly 200 agency healthcare professionals currently onsite, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a large, experienced clinical team while expanding your behavioral health and correctional nursing experience.

Position Highlights

Full-time schedule - 40 hours per week

12 immediate openings

Initial 6-month contract

Strong possibility of extension up to 1 year or longer

Variety of units and patient care settings

Day, Evening, and Night shifts available

No client interview required for submission

Available Shifts

Day Shift

  • 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Evening Shift

  • 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

Night Shift

  • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

30-minute paid break provided within the first 5 hours of each shift.

What You'll Do

As an LVN/LPN, you will provide direct nursing care within psychiatric and medical units while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Assignments may vary across:

  • Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Units
  • Medical Units
  • Specialized Correctional Healthcare Programs
  • Various patient populations and care environments
Orientation & Training

We are committed to setting you up for success.

  • Two orientation sessions held each month
  • Comprehensive facility onboarding and regulatory training
  • Mental health certification included
  • Approximately 6 weeks of training before independent floor assignment
  • Structured support from experienced clinical educators
Requirements

Required Documents for Submission

  • Current Nursing Resume
  • Active BLS Certification
  • Government-Issued Photo
  • Facility Entrance Form

Licensure

  • Active LVN/LPN License

The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current LPN license in state of assignment
  • 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
