Quality Technician/ Inspector, Quality Control / Manager
General Summary
This position is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspecting construction materials or elements in a laboratory or field setting to ensure compliance with supplier and/or owner specifications.
Essential Job Accountabilities- Test and inspect products at various stages of the production process; compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- Obtain and maintain certifications as required to perform testing.
- Maintain thorough understanding of specifications, testing and reporting requirements.
- Communicate and schedule QC activities with crew and inspection personnel.
- Interpret specifications and discuss/argue with crew and inspection staff; make decisions based on knowledge of specifications and testing requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings to ensure work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Collect material samples, send samples to lab, interpret test results, and distribute information to crews and inspection staff.
- Maintain all QC log books and reports in accordance with specifications.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures, including attendance at safety meetings.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Work Experience0-2 years of related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Basic computer skills.
- DL (driver's license) required.
- Ability to be on your feet and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate and schedule QC activities.
- Ability to interpret specifications and engineering drawings.

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard; occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
