HGV Technician – Leicester – £53,222 Per Annum

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop, carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance and repair work while benefiting from structured technical training and long-term progression opportunities.
Working Hours
Rotating earlies/lates:
Monday–Friday: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
Alternative Saturday: 06:00–12:00
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and correctly.
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues
Completing safety inspections and MOT preparation
Carrying out routine preventative maintenance
Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the required standards
Completing relevant paperwork and workshop records
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Working as part of a professional workshop team
About You
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician who can demonstrate:
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Previous experience working as an HGV Technician
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
A proactive and professional approach
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A valid UK driving licence
HGV licence desirable but not essential
