Summary:
To develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for musical expression and creativity in the arts, as well as understanding and appreciation by implementing an engaging curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to perform assigned tasks; providing a safe, responsible, and respectful learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education discipline related to teaching assignment required PDE Music Pk-12 certification required;
Special Education Pk-12 certification preferred 3-5 years experience working with Special Education Students preferred Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Instruct individuals in skill areas Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior Support objectives and interventions of the educational program Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress
2026 - 2027 school year salary (based on experience): $62,155 to $89,730 - Instructional I Certification $64,834 to $93,324 - Instructional II Certification $69,353 to $101,911 - Master's Degree $74,415 to $107,845 - Masters + 30

- Friday 7.5 hours/day 194 days/year
