About the job
As an Assembly Mechanic Trainee
, you'll play a hands-on role supporting our Tank Cleaning Production Department. This position is essential in helping us deliver high-quality new tank cleaning equipment and repair services. You'll learn and grow as part of a collaborative team while contributing to both new product assembly and repair operations.
As part of the team, you will:
- Disassemble and clean incoming equipment for repairs.
- Inspect and replace worn parts as needed.
- Document repair work and complete required reports.
- Assemble and test new tank cleaning machines according to product standards.
- Conduct performance tests on repaired and new units.
- Package and prepare equipment and spare parts for shipping.
- Assist with inventory by picking and stocking parts.
- Follow production work orders and meet productivity targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including routine cleaning tasks.
You have a High School Diploma or equivalency, and:
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Previous experience requiring a mechanical skillset, such as small engine repair or assembly is highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with hand tools (ex: ratchets, socket wrenches, screw drivers etc.).
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for completing reports and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
