Assistant Professor Of Biology
Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of tenure track Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Health and Natural Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences. This position involves teaching, scholarship and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening, lower level and/or upper level biology courses. Travel from Cochran campus to a satellite campus (Dublin) may be required.
This position involves teaching an undergraduate course load equivalent to 4/4, and scholarship, all faculty are expected to assist in student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and serving on departmental and university committees. Travel among our campuses will be required as needed. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes, online and/or hybrid courses.
Required Educational Qualifications PhD degree in Biology or related field with special attention given to the following area of expertise: microbiology.
Preferred Experience Prior successful teaching experience Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research
