Executive Director – Public Housing

Cochran Housing Authority seeks an experienced public housing administrator to oversee and direct a small public‑housing agency located in Cochran, Georgia. The agency consists of 115 RAD‑converted housing units (Section 8 – HCV). The Executive Director reports to a Board of Commissioners and will supervise 3 to 5 employees. Relocation to Cochran (Bleckley County) is required within a reasonable time.

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the public‑housing program.
• Ensure compliance with landlord‑tenant and fair housing laws, regulations, and agency policies.
• Oversee operational activities, including maintenance, resident services, and communications with the Board.
• Manage program budget, prepare financial reports, and work with the Board on fiscal planning.
• Represent the agency to external partners, government agencies, and the community.

• Four‑year college degree (public administration, housing, or related field).
• Significant experience in landlord‑tenant and fair housing law compliance.
• Previous management experience of a public housing or similar agency preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to relocate to Cochran, GA, within a reasonable time.
