Transportation Engineer

AECOM is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Transportation Civil Engineer with design experience to join our growing team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In this role, you will contribute to meaningful transportation infrastructure projects that enhance mobility and improve communities across the region. • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well‑defined procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
• Identify discrepancies in results.
• Provide guidance to entry‑level engineers.
• Perform work in accordance with the approved budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

• Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and 2 years of related civil engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior related intern and/or professional transportation design experience.
• Proficiency in Micro Station, Power In Roads /Open Roads, and other relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Prior experience in field assessments or site visits for civil engineering projects.

$75,000-$75,000 per year
