Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Environmental Quality & Compliance Manager to play a critical role in elevating the integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of complex environmental projects. In this role, you won't just review work—you'll shape how high‑quality environmental consulting is delivered across field investigations, laboratory programs, and technical reporting.

Partnering closely with EA's Director of Quality Programs, you'll work at the intersection of environmental science, regulatory compliance, and project delivery – supporting remediation, site investigation, and environmental monitoring efforts nationwide.

If you have a background in environmental consulting and a passion for data quality, defensible reporting, and continuous improvement, this is an opportunity to influence projects that truly matter.

Responsibilities
  • Lead quality oversight across environmental investigations, remediation projects, and technical deliverables
  • Review environmental reports, analytical data packages, and field documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and technical accuracy
  • Collaborate with project managers, scientists, engineers, and technical reviewers to uphold high‑quality project execution
  • Monitor QA/QC implementation across projects, identifying risks and driving corrective actions
  • Conduct internal audits of field activities, laboratory operations, and data management processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations (EPA, DEQ, OSHA)
  • Track quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements across projects and programs
  • Support and enhance Quality Management Systems (QMS), SOPs, and quality protocols
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC standards, data integrity, and best practices
  • Participate in project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, science, geology, chemistry, biology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, or related technical field
  • Strong hands‑on experience with QA/QC systems in environmental or engineering projects
  • Deep understanding of environmental regulations and sampling/analytical protocols
  • Proven experience reviewing technical reports and environmental data packages
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data integrity
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or similar quality systems
  • Familiarity with EPA methods and environmental sampling procedures
  • Certifications such as Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence or Internal Auditor
  • Background in remediation, site investigation, waste management, or laboratory operations
