Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams of civil engineers, landscape architects, and designers on a wide variety of site development projects.
- Lead projects from concept development through construction while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage land development permitting and entitlement processes in jurisdictions throughout Maryland.
- Prepare and oversee the production of site/civil plan sets, specifications, and permit documents.
- Apply a thorough understanding of Maryland land development regulations, including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, grading, and utility design.
- Mentor and support junior staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Participate in client relationships, professional organizations, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Five or more years of experience with a civil engineering or multidisciplinary design firm.
- Professional licensure or active pursuit of licensure is strongly encouraged.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory permitting and approvals in Maryland jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of Maryland Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control regulations and design a must.
- Proficiency in preparing complete site/civil construction/permitting documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
