Position: Closing Specialist Senior Team Lead - Equipment Finance (EF)
Role Overview
In supporting the Equipment Finance (EF) Line of Business, the Team Lead will have in-depth experience with documentation and closing procedures for commercial loans and leases. The role requires expert knowledge of lien perfection methods based on asset type, nuances between tax and non-tax leases, and capital markets/indirect business (buy & sell). It includes managing all activities of Closers.
Annual base salary $ – $. Additional incentive pay is available.
Responsibilities
Direct management and oversight of teammates in the Closing Function.Review and execution of legal documentation.Strong knowledge of loan closings and lending regulatory requirements.Ensure all closing information is complete and accurate, and that all standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures are followed.Independent judgment and decision making on enforcing controls in the closing process; authority to stop a closing if conditions are not met.Assist with managing the team's workflow and priorities for closings.Identify opportunities to improve quality and completeness of closing requests received by Closers.Facilitate timely workflow and manage cycle times.Actively engage with teammates and consistently model a one-team approach.Required Qualifications
10 years of experience in credit operations, loan consultation, loan administration, loan origination, real estate construction, banking operations (documentation, client service, accounting) or related fields.10 years of experience in the execution of legal documentation and associated processes.Proficiency with MS Office applications.Management knowledge.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or certificate in a related field.Paralegal experience with wholesale lending transactions.Knowledge of booking loan and lease transactions.Benefits
