Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Loan Officer role based in Hunt Valley, MD. The Commercial Loan Officer builds and manages a portfolio of commercial clients by developing new relationships and expanding existing ones within the bank’s market area. Responsibilities include originating and structuring commercial loans, gathering financial information, analyzing borrower creditworthiness, and preparing credit presentations for underwriting and approval. The role oversees the loan process from initial inquiry through closing and ongoing monitoring, ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

The Commercial Loan Officer also collaborates with internal partners in credit, treasury, and other business lines, and represents ACNB Bank at community and networking events to support business development and the bank’s community presence.

Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial lending or as a Loan Officer, with a track record of managing a business loan portfolio and client relationships.
  • Strong Finance and credit analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements, assess cash flow, and evaluate collateral.
  • Underwriting and risk assessment skills, with experience structuring Loans that align with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of SBA lending programs and processes, including packaging and presenting applications for government-guaranteed loans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with business clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking regulations, loan documentation, and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with banking systems and productivity tools (e.g., loan origination systems, financial analysis software, Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work on-site in Hunt Valley, MD, and travel within the local market for client meetings and community events.
