The Battery Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling battery system, components, and sub‑assemblies individually, and assembling them into a battery container. The individual will use various tools and equipment to maneuver components and test components to verify proper operation and safety of all electrical components.
Responsibilities- Previous work experience with electrical systems, associate’s degree or certification in electrical or mechanical field preferred
- Basic knowledge and competency with electronics, power distribution, and electrical applications
- Lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds, stand or kneel in small places for extended periods of time
- Prep and assemble components, wires, and assemblies per work instructions
- Use mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics to complete assemblies and installation
- Inspect, install, and test various components with various test equipment or tools
- Read and interpret testing results
- Work with engineering to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks
- Must properly identify parts and inspect for quality or performance issues
- Meet daily production targets and schedule
