Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse – Pediatrics / PICU delivers evidence‑based, family‑centered care to pediatric and adolescent patients requiring both medical and intensive care. This job is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric and critical care, thrive in fast‑paced settings, and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and critical‑care patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients’ families throughout hospitalization and discharge.
- Education:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred. - Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required. - Licensure:
Current Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- BLS – American Heart Association required.
- PALS required within 6 months of hire.
- Oncology certification required within 1 year of hire.
