SummaryProvides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team. Conducts and documents an initial and ongoing assessment and gathers data relevant to the patient’s and family’s individual needs. Develops and documents a plan of care for selected patients and families. Implements, documents, and provides care and education based on the plan of care.
Evaluates and documents the outcomes of nursing practice.
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years of college).
- Knowledge of a specialized field.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer skills, Cerner, Syn Quest Standard, office equipment, and medical terminology.
- Nursing process skills based on the MD Nurse Practice Act.
- Critical thinking skills and medical equipment competency.
- Less than one year of experience.
