About This Role
The Sr. Calibration Technician will set up, calibrate, and operate equipment used in production, engineering and field support departments. The technician will work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models, capture calibration outcomes and data using a web-based database application, and create calibration processes and procedures for new equipment. The role also involves performing maintenance or small repairs of equipment as required and executing work orders within the calibration lab according to established frequency schedules.
Responsibilities- Execute lab work orders, calibrating instruments including meters, scopes, generators, pressure gauges, temperature equipment, counters, analyzers, power supplies, RF equipment, test tools, amplifiers, probes, torque wrenches, ESD benches, and weight scales.
- Set up, operate, test, detail, and calibrate systems or specialized equipment following established policies and procedures.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers in basic process development or evaluation, applying procedures and technical theory within assigned product areas.
- High knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical technical theory.
- Ability to determine approaches to solutions with only general direction.
- Ability to work with outside suppliers as well as internal customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Team player who works well in a team environment.
- Effective and positive communicator.

- Demonstrated initiative.
- Experience with a calibration database program and/or an MRP program such as Oracle.
- At least 2 years of experience in a calibration lab.
- Strong PC skills.
- Strong communication skills.

- Ability to obtain a “Secret” level security clearance.
- Technical program, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a technical related field preferred.
