Pack-It, LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Quality Specialist to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role ensures compliance with company GMPs, food safety programs, food defense policies, and customer requirements through daily oversight, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Specialist plays a key role in maintaining and developing quality systems, HACCP prerequisite programs, and overall plant compliance.

- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and SSOPs
- Manage and improve QC policies, procedures, and personnel
- Conduct and review GMP, food safety, and internal audits
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions
- Maintain pest control systems and documentation
- Maintain MSDS and chemical inventory
- Determine, document, and track material dispositions (pending/approved/rejected)
- Create or obtain rework procedures
- Develop and manage finished goods paperwork and sampling plans
- Communicate with customers regarding QA/QC issues
- Conduct microbiological and environmental testing
- Lead and oversee employee training in quality and food safety
- Supervisory experience; able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret technical charts, manuals, and specifications
- Strong math skills
- Strong counting skills
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong conflict‑resolution skills with a positive, solutions‑focused approach.
- BS Degree or Quality Technical Training (or equivalent experience)
- HACCP or PCQI certification
- SQF or GFSI experience
This position serves as an alternate during absences for:
- Quality Assurance Manager
- Director of Regulatory
