2027 Intern - Firmware Engineer (Weapons) - Hunt Valley, MD

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with engineers to write, and debug firmware code to ensure functionality and performance.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation detailing firmware design, functionality, and test procedures.
• Working with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, to identify and resolve issues.
• Participating in design and code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback to improve firmware quality.
• Current enrollment in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering programs.
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following:
  System Verilog, VHDL, Python, C, Digital Systems, and Electrical Circuits.
• Firmware development:
  Gain hands-on experience in writing and debugging firmware.
• Test environment:
  Learn how to develop and operate firmware test environments.
• Collaboration:
  
  Enhance teamwork skills by working with cross-functional teams.

Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Ability to work 40 hours/week. Capable of working well with a cross functional team. Ability to complete tasks on time while taking in inputs from other engineers. This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Textron's compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. Benefits may include health insurance and prescription plan coverage, dental insurance, family building benefits, vision insurance, mental health resources, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide employees time away from work. The pay range for this position is $28 - $32 per hour.
