Job DescriptionDuties
- Provides administrative support, establishes and maintains standardized administrative criteria, processes, and procedures across all subordinate directorates, groups, and squadrons for interactions with the Chief Scientist Office (AFTAC/ST).
- Collaborates closely with A-Staff and Command Section Staff members to establish, improve, and provide continuity of Chief Scientist Office operations.
- Provides administrative oversight of incoming/outgoing correspondence and e-mail.
- Exercises primary control over the various calendars for scheduling appointments and activities within the Center, proactively managing the schedules of the Chief Scientist, Deputy Chief Scientist, and Senior Staff to optimize their time and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Requirements Conditions of employment
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
- Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
- Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

- Direct Deposit:
All federal employees are required to have direct deposit. - Employee may be required to undergo CI polygraph examinations in accordance with security regulations involving material handled.
- Knowledge of security procedures and protection of classified information is required.
- Employee may be required to work irregular duty hours, weekends, or overtime.
Qualifications This is a GG-08 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-08 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-08 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience include:
Extensive knowledge of standardized rules, procedures, or operations requiring considerable training and experience to perform the full range of standard clerical and non-clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems; and the skill, acquired through considerable training and experience, to operate and adjust varied equipment for purposes such as performing numerous standardized tests or operations. Comprehensive knowledge of the CC, IMA to the CC, DISL, CD and Senior Support Staff 's policies and views all significant matters affecting the Center.
Ability to perform duties such as assembling information to be used for reports or responses to inquiries. Knowledge of the substantive programs of the Center as related to the Center's clerical and administrative functions. Basic knowledge or protocol requirements and responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of the AFTAC Nuclear Treaty Monitoring mission, and regulations governing classified systems (including SIPRNET & JWICS), in a complex security environment.
Must understand and apply guidelines from numerous security classification guides.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of the AFTAC Nuclear Treaty Monitoring mission and its applicability to extensive rules, procedures, or operations applied to secretarial and clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the Center, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining files/records, making and preparing travel arrangements, locating, assembling and composing information for various reports, inquiries, and nontechnical correspondence.
