Review fabrication drawings, work orders, weld symbols, and welding procedures before starting work;
Set up welding equipment and verify materials, joint fitup, and alignment;
Perform structural welds on carbon steel using Flux Cored (FCAW) with a 1/16th wire;
Weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead);
Control weld penetration, bead profile, and heat input to prevent distortion
