Library Services Department Human Resources Coordinator
Performs experienced paraprofessional work coordinating all of the Human Resources-related operations and programs and processing all of the personnel actions for the Library Services Department, including recruiting, background investigations, evaluations, and career development for new and existing personnel;
Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), light duty assignments, and disability paperwork, documentation, and tracking; providing management support for grievances; and coordinating and assisting in processing disciplinary actions, hearings, and dispositions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or a closely related field PLUS five (5) years of Human Resources management experience in a Library environment, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Special requirements:
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to work irregular hours when necessary. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
