Job Duties- Cultivate and share basic process‑plant skills, working in partnership with senior technicians while completing training tasks.
- Participate in Time‑Out investigations, document incidents, and retrieve Airgas and site‑specific operating procedures in the Intelex document‑management system.
- Acquire knowledge of all plant operations—including processes, equipment, and site‑specific action plans.
- Support and confirm that on‑site contractors, vendors, guests, and visitors meet site‑specific training requirements, and coordinate Hold Harmless & Insurance policies.
- Execute duties in compliance with local and federal regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, cGMP, etc.) and company policies such as MOC, PPSR, and QIR.
- Collaborate with national and local product scheduling to meet customer delivery requirements and complete necessary documentation with exceptional accuracy.
- Model safety practices, complete the Airgas Safety Pledge, and undergo Health, Safety, Environmental, and Social (HSES) training.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- Knowledge of plant Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) screens and control stations.
- Ability to operate the plant in steady state/normal operation and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Capability to monitor and adjust operations to optimize efficiency.
- Proficient written and spoken English at a 12th‑grade level.
- Basic understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Familiarity with basic plant operations – taking rounds, loading trucks, conducting water tests, shift turnover.
- Knowledge of the site Emergency Action Plan.
- Mechanical inclination.
- Valid U.S. employment authorization; no current or future visa sponsorship required.
- Associate’s degree is desirable (Preferred).
- 0‑6 months related operations experience preferred.
- Technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on call as needed with the Facility Manager.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard‑hat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, ear protection, and possible respirator.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Willing to travel to assist other sites and attend training as required.
Must have reliable transportation. The role involves visiting various Airgas and customer sites with diverse environments, conditions, and accessibility.
