The Paramedic (NRP) provides direct and indirect care through the Policies, Protocols, and Guidelines set by Cody Regional Health (CRH), Cody Regional Health Emergency Medical Services (CRH-EMS), and the State of Wyoming Office of EMS (OEMS); and is accountable for and provides care within the set standards of practice. The Paramedic (NRP) is a member of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team and must work with fire department personnel, law enforcement, first responders, and other healthcare providers to deliver care to ill and injured patients in the out-of-hospital as well as hospital setting.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his or her assigned department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. They must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age‑specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.

Currently licensed as a Wyoming EMT-Paramedic. Current National Registry – Paramedic or ability to obtain within 6-months of start date.

One plus year of EMS service preferred. (Basic; Intermediate; Paramedic).

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to learn new computer software applications.
• Ability to assess and treat patients to the US DOT and Wyoming Office of EMS, EMT
  - Paramedic level.

AHA Healthcare as BLS Provider, ACLS Provider, PALS or EMSC Advanced Provider; PHTLS Advanced Provider. Current clean Wyoming Driver’s License.

• Is knowledgeable of and works within all pertinent, established CRH and CRH EMS Policies, Procedures and Protocols.
• Provide leadership and direction for the EMS crew on duty.
• Provide problem solving for situations that require immediate solutions that affect the department’s operation, which may include but is not limited to, staffing on an emergency basis.
• Responsible for scheduling and staffing necessary for daily operations of the EMS department.
• Act at all times in a professional manner, and will be able to handle conflict situations with good judgment.
