Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.50 to $17.50 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 10 and 16 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. The use of technology is critical for day‑to‑day work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Support operations during seasonal demand, including additional days and extended hours around major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on holiday days and weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and various tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • One‑team vision:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Qualifications
  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You can read, write, and understand English.
  • You can lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
